arghhh i'm burning!!!

wow it's been soooo long since i last updated this but no my blog is not dead again. been slacking all this while. haizzz really feel guilty abt this. but i've started looking for jobs already. hope to get one real soon so i can earn some money for the december thailand trip.

just came back from sentosa and although the sun was not really bright today (ehhh by the time i finish typing this shld be yesterday liao), still got mild sunburns on my face and body. but good thing is tat i got rid of the stupid life vest marking on my body liao. wahh but luckily it din rain today. have been raining in the area near my house for every single day since monday.

can't really say it's been long time since i last played volleyball cos at southern we were always playing it and at the sprinting chalet we also played for a while but still enjoyed it a lot. hope can play more often. but maybe due to the long time spent playing "badminton court volleyball", most of us seems to have difficulty letting the ball cross the net(from over the top).

wah but i tink it was the 1st time i experienced palawan beach being so quiet when at ard 7pm, almost everyone had left except us. haha quite good lah i tink. nice and quiet. but then bad thing is nothing to see. yah and the 2 v 2 volleyball at the end was very nice too...

wah sore throat liao...

yesterday went for training in NP. ehhhh can't say got train much also. only do a bit of biceps then go run a bit only. but then main purpose is to meet the sprinting pple to celebrate weihong's enlistment into NS lah.

ok after training we went for dinner at bukit timah hawker centre. sianzzz most of the stalls close liao. haizzz actually wanna have the mutton soup for dinner. dunno y everytime come the stall also close. last time come in the afternoon also close. so no choice, walk here and there also dunno wat to eat. so just anyhow choose the chicken rice. turns out to be quite a bad choice. but was really hungry already so just forced myself to finish it.

after tat we went to clementi kbox. din noe tat clementi got kbox also. but wah it's the 1st time i've been to a room so big ah. ok lah maybe i too suaku liao. but the room like bigger than me and my sis's room combined ah. tink can even play soccer inside. then somemore got the projector screen. ok then we just sang and sang all the way until they close lor.

which way to go?

wow since ORDing, i have been busy having fun and enjoying my freedom. really nice to be a civilian again. haizzzz but then 1 thing bad is tat i'm no longer getting my $710 from SAF liao. then my savings is diminishing fast. haizzz gotta find a job fast liao...

then another thing i've been tinking abt is my future... wat shld i do now tat i've ORDed? there are so many paths tat i can take. but then which one is the one tat's most suitable for me? shld i go to SIM and pursue tat ISM degree? is tat wat i'm interested in? shld i go for the short courses at informatics? but do i still want to stay in the IT field? if yes, shld i pursue a computing related degree instead? is the market too saturated? or shld i go pursue a business degree instead like many pple advised me to? but can i cope with something i have zero knowledge in? or shld i study part time? or maybe work full time 1st?

haizzz so many questions whenever i tink of this tat i keep refusing to make THAT decision. or maybe i'm afraid to make the decision. afraid of making the wrong decision then having to face the consequences myself. haizzz but then maybe tat's part of growing up and then entering into the society, making decisions then being responsible for them.

haizzz maybe i just have to sit down and tink it through and then force myself to make the decision. arghhh hao fan ah! really missed the days when i was kid and can just eat, play, and sleep...

i'm back!!!

hey just came back from the expedition yesterday night. was really dead tired liao so din have time to update my blog. haha really feels nice to be kayaking after such a long time. good to have gotten myself a nice tan also, although also got a little sunburnt, some abrasions on my feet and also a new "life vest" on my body.

on the 1st day, on reaching the meeting place, i felt quite strange as all ard me were unfamiliar faces. felt a bit out of place but it all got a bit better as we started playing volleyball. after tat i got to noe my grouping and was quite sian as there was no one in my group which i noe. then there were a bit of games, then the potluck dinner, the briefing and then finally to rest to prepare for the start of the expedition the following day.

the next morning, after washing up, we went for breakfast which was prepared by the fnb pple. then suddenly Jinlong brought out a tray of eggs and we (the alumni pple) decided to bring them to the canteen and ask 1 of the canteen uncle or auntie to help us cook the eggs. the kind auntie from the muslim stall agreed to help us and it was the 1st time i saw 10 half-boiled eggs all together inside 1 plate. looks quite disgusting but then taste quite nice actually. after our very nourishing breakfast, we set off for kallang.

after reaching kallang, we then prepared for launch. i was given a single kayak as my initial doubles partner was sick and din come for the expedition. haizzz tink i really "ming fan tian sha gu xing", everytime also loner one. anyway, after all the preparation and then the powerboat problems, we launched our kayaks and we were off to st. john's island, our 1st destination for the expedition.

haha i tink being on the water was the most fun part of the expedition. riding the waves and feeling the wind. tat's wat i missed abt kayaking. but then i had some difficulties manoeuvring the kayak and then quite shacked also. haizzz really too slack liao.

upon reaching st. john's island, we were dispatched to our respective bunks in which we will spend our night in. haha just ORDed last thursday only then so fast i'm sleeping in a bunk again. but then it's the 1st expedition which i will not be sleeping outdoors (although i have not really been to tat many expeditions lah). but then also quite nice lah. rain also no need to scared, then less mosquitos and got bed, got pillow and blanket somemore. but then the sian thing is tat my bunk also got not many pple i noe.

then after settling down, there was free time again so we were off to play volleyball again. come to tink of it, this expedition really like volleyball camp also cos everytime we had free time, we will be playing volleyball. this was another fun part of the expedition. after tat, it was dinner time and then we went back to our bunks to sleep.

the next day, we were going to kusu island. it was really quite near to st. john's island so we din take long to reach there. after having lunch and playing some games (wrestling in the water, waterbombs, etc) there, we headed back to st. john's island in which we will be having the camp fire later in the night.

back in st. john's island, we had our dinner and then prepared for the camp fire. all the performances were quite funny and it was generally quite an enjoyable camp fire. after the camp fire, it was supposed to be bedtime. but then because it was the last night, a lot of saboing was planned and most of us were staying awake and ready for them. Junsheng and Jiaming, being the chief saboteurs with the "nail polish attacks" the previous night, were the main targets and they were aware of it too. so i went together with them to the jetty and we spent our night there sleeping in our hammocks.



wow really been a long time since i last slept in a hammock. really felt quite nice with the strong winds and the clear night sky and then watching all the stars and toking cock... so relaxing... the last time i saw so many stars in the sky was in tekong while i was in sispec doing guard duty i tink. same sky and same sight but haha wat a different situation to be in. ORD lohhh!!!



the next morning, we got up, had our breakfast and then prepared to head back to kallang and then back to sch. in sch, after getting our expedition singlets, it was finally time to go home. phew, really shacked out liao. but then although it was tiring, the expedition was really quite an enjoyable one.
