bbq at NSRCC

hey just back from a bbq organised by my colleagues at this National Service Recreation and Country Club (NSRCC). haha dun worry fellow recce commanders. this is not some RCC tat we have to go thru during NS time. tink it's a club owned by SAFRA. and then the chalet super expensive also leh. heard from my colleague, tink is $300 per nite, then minimum must rent 2 nites. but it's those 2 storey one then quite big also.

then actually can say i din expect to enjoy it as much as i did. cos this club is actually near tanah merah mrt there. so it's really far from my house. if take mrt also almost from 1 end to the other and then take more than 1 hour. so i was actually tinking of not going. but then i tink i had rejected their invitation to go somewhere else b4. so if i dun go again like very buay on like tat. so maybe just go show show face lor.

so i arrived at 5 something cos the bbq supposed to start at 5. ehhh not tat i purposely wanna be late but just miscalculated the time. and then when i arrived the fire was just starting and seems like the fire also not starting very well. but i also not expert at starting the fire so i dare not take charge also. hmmm maybe next time bbq must learn until become expert liao. cos it's like a given tat guys shld noe how to start the bbq fire. wonder y this is so...

ok then somehow the fire got started and the food was cooked. so i just ate and ate and was actually planning to leave at 7.15 or 8.45 cos these were the shuttle bus timings. then someone set up the karaoke system and started to sing. so i decided to stay behind a while longer to sing also cos also quite some time nv go ktv liao. then this one free one somemore mah. hahaha. bu chang bai bu chang. then our table got fruits somemore. like real ktv like tat! then even better got free flow food and drinks somemore.

then also 1st time i sing duet also i tink. ehhhh like quite fun to sing lah. cos go ktv with junsheng or mark they all normally is all-guys affair one. haizzzz. ehhh but also only sang halfway then i kena "ding" down the stage liao. cos the person i singing with say i nv sing with feeling. no "gan dong du". ... aiyo i sing song is like tat one mah. ask pple i go ktv with before then they will noe. maybe unless i singing for tat special someone then i can inject feelings into it. hahaha! so like tat keep singing and singing until my backside stuck to the chair liao. then suddenly it was 11pm liao. no more shuttle bus liao also so my colleague gave us a lift to tanah merah mrt and then it turned out tat the last train was gone too. so me and my soccer buddy in the company who had already left the company shared a cab home.

then on the way home i had a nice chat with this soccer buddy. and i found out tat actually the reason he left the company was something tat i had been tinking abt: the lack of a chance for promotion in the company.

cos for my case i was tinking tat there was no way tat i can get a promotion within the next 5-10 years in this company. cos i would either have to wait for either my manager or my shifu to quit. which is like very unlikely. or wait for my manager to retire. which is at least ard 10 years from now. so i may just be an it assistant or maybe the job title's gonna be different but still the same job scope until i'm 30+. tat's really quite scary. then actually we also talked abt qualifications and all those stuff abt work and jobs. haizzz headache ah. but then it was a nice conversation lah.

hmmmm so actually it was quite a nice way to spend my saturday lah. at least nice enuf for me to wanna blog abt it. haha!

liverpool!!! fa cup champions!!!

wah just finished watching the fa cup final between liverpool and west ham utd. although liverpool's overall performance for this match wasn't really good but tink this shld be the most nail biting and one of the most amazing matches i had watched this season. and then credit to the players also for playing thru the 120 min after such a long season starting from the champions league 1st qualifying round.

wah but gerrard is just simply amazing man!! keeping his nerves and smashing home the 2 equalisers. all the liverpool goals were all really brilliant. although i dun really like cisse but then his finish was also really good. hope he can leave liverpool in peace then find another good club for himself. where he can be the star then can stop complaining liao. then the west ham goals, the 1st 2 are really down to the defensive errors and nerves i tink. then the 3rd one was simply luck lah. but then overall i tink maybe west ham was playing better than liverpool. especially tat benayoun. always a threat when he's holding the ball. but in the end it was again gerrard's brilliance tat saved the day for liverpool and also reina's saves tat won us the fa cup.

hope next season liverpool can get tat right winger, tat centreback and most importantly the proven goalscorer then we can be seriously challenging for the epl title liao.

holiday again!!!

haha wah super shuang man. for this week i only needed to go to work for 3 days. cos monday is make up for the voting day on saturday then today is vesak day. but haizzz no more holidays to look forward to until national day liao i tink.

although monday i din need to go to work but then still had to attend the ccna course at nite. attended this course for 3 weeks already i tink. then supposed to have attended 6 lessons already but then the lecturer keep going on mc. dunno wat's wrong with him. going at this rate, i dunno how long i'm gonna take to complete the course ah.

and then becos the course is on monday and wednesday nite, so i have to miss the fei chang superband on monday nite liao. haizzzz sadzzz. but maybe still can watch the replay on saturday morning.

then abt the ccna course, if disregarding the fact tat he's always on mc, actually the lecturer not bad lah. then the course like got pple from all ages attending it. tink the age ranges from ard 20+ to 40+. so like quite different from during poly tat time. then after attending 3 lessons, the things tat are taught actually also learn before in poly. maybe only some of the things i din quite understand in detail during poly. then also i had thought tat all the things will be taught from the very basics. but then seems like pple attending the course are already expected to have at least some foundation in networking. then some of the things are sort of like taught in a different way so have to like get used to it. but ok lah till now still can cope with it. hopefully can faster finish the course then hopefully can pass the exam to get the cert.
