ACHIEVE!!!

haha today's my 4th day of the ACHIEVE training and can say tat i have quite enjoyed the past few trainings. it's somehow like being back to studying life again and maybe even better cos the lessons consist of a lot of games, puzzles, discussions and learning about new stuff. thursday will be the last day of training and i tink i will miss it quite a lot cos it's gonna be back to work for me after tat.

haizzz... back to those monotonous days of sometimes just having nothing useful and constructive to do and just rotting away slowly but surely. actually sometimes i really prefer those crazy days when i just rush up and down the stairs or between no. 6 and 7. but maybe i'm really complaining too much. how many pple actually gets paid for doing so little work??? actually my pay is almost at management level or even more if you consider the ratio of the amount of work i do TO the pay i get.

ok lah enuf of complaining already cos even though i can say i dun really like the job, but the pple in this company are really nice to me and i'll really miss them a lot when i leave this place. maybe it's becos i dun actually have any business dealings with pple from other departments and my own department is quite small, but i've not personally encountered office politics yet. or maybe i did but am still not aware of it... but i feel tat in the cruel working society out there, it may be quite difficult to find a friendlier manager, a more patient shifu and nicer colleagues the next time round.

finally told my manager

today finally told my manager tat i'm gonna resign at the end of the year liao. actually i had planned to prepare the resignation letter over the coming weekend and then submit it to him next monday. din really want to inform him so soon cos i only needed to give a 1-month notice according to my employment letter and also i din noe wat reaction i'll be getting. will he suddenly "change face" or wat? cos he's been really nice to me since i joined the company. ehhhh maybe i tink too much liao...

but then today he suddenly asked me which web design software i'm more familiar with and they will be buying it and then i will have to learn how to use it and then most likely i'll have to create a new company website. so bo bian, have to tell him abt the resignation cos i can't just ask him to go buy the software and then 1 week later say i'm gonna quit at the end of the year. although i'm sure the software won't be bought just for my sake but it's better to inform him abt it and then just let him decide whether to still buy the software.

actually after getting the acceptance letter from SIM which effectively confirms 100% tat i'll be quiting at the end of the year (cos i was still mildly worried tat i may get rejected by SIM which would mean i will have to re-evaluate my options), i was suddenly involved with some things in the company.

firstly, i was sent for this ACHIEVE programme conducted by our HR department, which will actually be starting tmr and i'll be learning some skills like creative thinking, problem solving, team building, etc. but this is actually a programme tat all the staff in the company will eventually have to go through. so i was not like specially selected for it. and then also i will be sitting in on some trainings for an accounting software tat we just bought. and then something quite minor is tat i'll be getting my name tag (those kind tat u place on the partition of ur desk so tat pple noe who u r). kind of a waste of money cos it will only be in use for 2 months unless they employ someone with the same name and surname as me. told my manager abt this so tat he can inform the purchasing department not to have it made but then he says it's only very cheap and he dun wanna make a big hoohaa over tat. hmmmm yah true also.

ok gtg sleep liao. heard from our HR manager who will be conducting the ACHIEVE programme tat tmr we will be doing some exercises. so i better get enuf sleep today or else no 7 hours of sleep and then i so long nv exercise liao later exercise halfway i collapse...
