1st day of sch

actually, my 1st day of sch was officially on tuesday. but then there was only a lecture for a module tat i had applied exemption for. and then i only attended half of the lecture cos after the break for the lecture, the lecturer told those of us with the exemption tat we could go as the exemption has already been approved. so effectively, i had not attended a proper lecture until today(ehhh shld be yesterday liao, as i updated this too late cos i was trying to repair my calculator)

ermmmm not really a good start for me as the lecturer was a chinese lady on a teaching visit from RMIT and i tink she was from china and her english wasn't really very good. she mispronounced a lot of the words and also has a weird slang and i tink almost everyone had difficulties trying to catch some of the things she said. but she said she only arrived in singapore this morning at 2am and din really sleep well on the plane. so i guess she din really prepare for the lecture and also was still suffering from jetlag. i hope the lecture will be better tmr.

and then another thing was tat i realise tat all the examples quoted were from australia. e.g. the associations, the standards, the companies used as an example, etc. some of the examples were the australian stock exchange, the australian accounting standards (which is now actually also following the international standards). so i was actually mildly concerned abt the fact tat i was learning abt stuff in australia when most probably i'll be trying to find a job in singapore after i graduate. but i guess it was just to learn abt how things are generally governed and i'll just have to find the singaporean equivalent of those examples to better relate it to the singapore context.

ok i better get to sleep liao or else i won't be able to have full concentration for tmr's lecture and tat's really needed to be able to catch wat the lecturer is actually saying.
